Last will and Testament of
Margaret Dunn of St. John’s
Widow deceased

      This is the last will and Testament of me Margaret Dunn of St. John’s widow. I give and bequeath all my property and effects and the money of which I may die possessed to my Executor herein named for the purposes following that is to say it is my will and desire and I hereby direct that my Executor shall out of the moneys at present in the possession of Mrs French of the Riverhead Palace belonging to me pay my funeral expenses and that he shall retain and reserve a sum sufficient to defray the funeral expenses of my daughter Margaret.
And lastly I will and direct that the residue and the proceeds of my property and effects which shall be sold shall be equally divided between the Reverend Dean Ryan for masses for the repose of my soul and my daughter Ellen Fitzgerald. I hereby appoint the Reverend Dean Ryan Executor of this my last will and Testament.
Dated at St. John’s this 9th day of February 1898. (Sgd) Margaret her X mark Dunn. Signed published and declared by the Testatrix as and for her last will and Testament in the presence of us, who in her presence and in the presence of each other and at her request have hereunto out hands subscribed as witnesses the said Testatrix having signed the same by making her mark thereto the said will having previously been read over and explained. Sgd) John Fitzgerald. (Sgd) Arthur W. Knight.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of Margaret Dunn deceased
