Last will and Testament
of Elizabeth Drover
of Island Cove widow Deceased
.

In the name of God Amen. This is the last will and testament of me Elizabeth Drover widow of the late Joseph Drover late of Island Cove Planter deceased I being now of sound mind memory and understanding First I give devise and bequeath to my brother in law Thomas Drover the sum of two hundred dollars to be paid by my executor out of the money now lying in my name in Savings Bank at Harbour Grace and I do will and direct that the balance of the money so lying in the savings Bank be equally divided between my brother George Lundrigan and my sisters Ann Coombs, Julia Osborne Sarah Mercer wife of Charles Mercer free from the control of her husband and Mary Jones after the payment of all legal and testamentary expenses it being my will and desire that the bequest to my brother in law Thomas Drover should be free from all expense which may necessarily be incurred with regard to my estate after my decease. Secondly I give devise and bequeath all my right title and interest property claim and demand whatsoever both at law and in equity in and to that potato garden bounded on the north by Sharp, east by Hussy, south by Drover and west by waste land the said being now fenced and under cultivation to brother in law Thomas Drover also two watches and one sofa now in my possession and all my right title and interest if any in and to the dwelling house and property now occupied by me to my brother in law Thomas Drover. Thirdly I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattels and household furniture to be equally divided between my said brother and sisters and my cow to be disposed of as he may deem proper to the said Thomas Drover. Fourthly I give devise and bequeath to my nephew John Coombs the land with the dwelling house and premises now in his possession and I hereby appoint my said brother in law Thomas Drover sole executor to this my last will and testament Elizabeth her x mark Drover Signed sealed published and declared by the said Elizabeth Drover as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us (who in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses) the same having been first read over and fully explained in our presence the said testatrix being of sound mind memory and understanding this thirteenth day of April Anno Domini eighteen hundred and eighty seven John D. Martin Archibald Young W. O. Wood.
I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and testament of Thomas Drover (should be Elizabeth)
