Will of James Doyle
from Newfoundland will books volume 9 pages 194-195 probate year 1911

In re
      James Doyle          deceased.

      This is the last will and Testament of me James Doyle, Fisherman of Petty Harbor in the Central District of St. John’s West, and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form I give devise and bequeath to my son William Doyle his heirs and assigns that piece and parcel of land on which my house is built together with the house situate in Skinners Hill with garden & stable also the southern half of that piece of land situate on the Bay Bulls Road on the following condition that he pay or cause to be paid the amount of Five Dollars to my Daughter Nora Kiely, Five Dollars to my second Daughter Isabelle and Five Dollars to my youngest Daughter Minnie
I give demise and bequeath to my son John R. Doyle the northern half of the aforementioned piece of land situated on the Bay Bulls Road with the same condition that he John R. Doyle pay or cause to be paid the amt of Five Dollars $5.00 to each of my three daughters as in the case of William Doyle mentioned above      I also will that should William Doyle die leaving no heir then his share shall go to his brother John R. Doyle
I give demise and bequeath to my two sons William Doyle and John R. Doyle all my right title and interest in and to my fishing property share & share alike I appoint my two sons William Doyle and John R. Doyle of Petty Harbor Executors of this my last will and Testament. Signed and declared by me as and for my last will and testament this Tenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven James Doyle this is my mark Signed and declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses Andrew Everard     Richard Everard
