Last Will and Testament of Elizabeth
Doyle late of St. John's widow

In the name of God Amen.

I Elizabeth Doyle of St. John's widow do make and publish this as and for my last will and testament.
First I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid.
Second I give devise and bequeath to my son Patrick Doyle the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds currency.
Thirdly to my daughter Catherine Doyle I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds currency and in case neither of the above mentioned children do turn up or can be found within two years from my death the bequest allotted to them by me shall be handed over to the Roman Catholic Bishop of St. John's to be distributed by him amongst the charitable institutions (Roman Catholic) of his choice.
Fourth I give devise and bequeath to Ellen Morris the good woman who has charge of me and who kindly attends to all my wants the sum of one hundred pounds currency for her sole use and absolute benefit
Fifth to my executor hereinafter named I give and bequeath the sum of fifty pounds currency in trust to pay same for the use and benefit of the Order of the Convent of Mercy of St. John's (Military Road)
Sixth to my said executor I give and bequeath the sum of fifty pounds currency in trust to pay the same for the use and benefit of the Roman Catholic Orphanage of Belvidere near St. John's.
The residue of my property I give devise and bequeath to my said executor to be distributed by him according to his own prudence and discretion.
Lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint the Reverend Patrick Delaney of St. John's Executor to this my last will and do hereby revoke and annul all former and other wills by me made. - Elizabeth her x mark Doyle - Signed by the said Elizabeth Doyle in our presence as and for her last will and testament who in her presence and at her request and in presence of each other have hereto set our hands as witnesses at St. John's aforesaid this twenty eighth day of November Anno Domini 1885.       William his x mark Crotty - P.J.
