Will of Rt Rev Joseph V Donnelly, from Newfoundland will books volume 15 pages 105 & 106 probate year 1930

Rt Rev Joseph V. Donnelly.

I, Rt Revd Joseph V. Donnelly of Conception in the electoral district of Harbour Main, Parish Priest, do make publish and declare this as and for my last will and testament.
First I will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid as soon as possible after my death.
Secondly. All money to my credit in the Bank of Nova Scotia both on deposit and current account I bequeath to the Parish of Conception aforesaid I also bequeath all my books and my household furniture to the Parish of Conception and I direct that it be not removed from the Parish House but be used there. I except from this bequest the round dining table now in the drawing room of the Parish house which I give to my sisters, Mary Donnelly and Katie Donnelly.
Thirdly. Whatever money may be coming to me at the time of my death for dues according to the pro rata in time apportionment are to be distributed as follows: 1. to each of my female servants at the time of my death a sum equal to one years salary, 2. $100.00 for masses according to my intention, 3. $100.00 for the relief of the observing peer of the parish of Conception, 4. the remainder I give to my executor hereinafter named for his own use and benefit.
Fourthly. I direct that my cattle horse and carriage be sold and the proceeds thereof paid to the Nuns of the Parish of Conception.
Fifthly. The residue of my estate I direct my executor to devote to Masses according to my intention.
Sixthly. I wish and direct that my body be buried in the priest plot Belvede Cemetery St John's and that my coffin be plainly made with no ornamentations and it is not to be a costly casket.
Seventhly. I hereby appoint my nephew Patrick J. Kent to be the executor of this my will.
Lastly I threw myself on the mercy of Almighty God hoping he will have mercy on my soul.
Dated at St John's this 4th day of march 1925.
