Will of Esau Diamond from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 549 probate year 1891 Last will and Testament In the name of God Amen. I, Esau Diamond, Planter, of Catalina, Trinity Bay, being of sound mind and memory, though weak in body, do make this my last will and testament, as follows:- I give, devise and bequeath to my wife Caroline, the whole of my property, real and personal, that I may die possessed of, to sell or dispose of as she may choose, excepting the lands and houses, which she is to possess only during her lifetime, then to pass at her death to the youngest son of my bother William living in Goose Bay, unless she should be in need, in which case, I by this will empower her to sell either part or all. And I hereby constitute George Courage Senr. and Benjamin Perry to be joint executors of this my last will and testament, made this thirteenth day of February A.D. 1891. Esau Diamond Signed sealed and delivered by the within named testator in our presence, who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our hands the day and year within written Caleb Diamond Thomas Soper.
