Will of George Decker
from Newfoundland will books volume 7 page 40 probate year 1901

Last Will and Testament of
George Decker of Lobster Cove, St. Barbe
Fisherman deceased.

      I George Decker, Fisherman, of Lobster Cove Newfoundland, being of sound mind hereby make my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former dispositions of my property. I give and bequeath to my wife Selina my new house, household effects in the old house and my salmon berth, for her life providing that she does not remarry. Should my wife at any time after my decease marry again then the aforesaid property to be equally divided between my sons, and after the death of my wife then the aforesaid property to be equally divided between my sons. I give and bequeath to my son Samuel the house in which I am now living in. I give and bequeath to my son George William, my single barreled gun. I give and bequeath to my daughter Rose one heifer calf. I give and bequeath all my landed property wharfs boat stores, barns and cattle to be kept and held between my four sons and in no case can any part of the same be sold. Should any of my sons be not willing to live on the property and help to work it then the said property be held and worked by those who remain and live on it. I hereby direct that my son Philip be appointed executor of this my estate.
Lobster Cove December 18th 1900. (Sgd) George Decker his x mark witnessed by us this 15th day of December 1900 (sgd) Charles W. Hollands. (Sgd) Louisa Paine.

      I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of George Decker deceased
