Will of James Deady In re In the name of God, Amen. 1st. I give and devise to my cousin William Cox (at present residing in St. John’s), my interest in the Estate of my late Uncle Stephen Strapp at Harbor Main. 2nd. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Catherine Deady all my household & personal effects. 3rd. I give and devise to my beloved wife Catherine Deady the house in which I now reside together with the land on which it is built situate on Bannerman St. Provided that in case money is required to pay my funeral & other expenses, it is my express wish and desire that my said wife Catherine Deady sell mortgage or otherwise dispose of said house heretofore mentioned to defray said expenses if necessary. 4th. In the event of my death before November next I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Catherine Deady what amount of money is due on my Fishing Room at Brig Hr. Labrador which I sold to Cornelius Devereaux of Avondale. 5th. I hereby appoint my said wife Catherine Deady, executrix of this my last will & Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set
and subscribed my hand and Seal this Nineteenth day of February A.D.
