This will of the late Abram
Dawe Jr. of Kelligrews Con. Bay Newfoundland as much as I can remember
In
the name of God Amen. I Abram Dawe of Kelligrews Con.
Bay in the Island of Newfoundland Fisherman and Farmer being very sick
and weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory do make and ordain
this my last will and Testament.
Fist I give and bequeath to my son
Robert my dwelling house goods and chattles, stable,
cellar, all my cleared land, horse, cart dray tackling all my carpentring
tools and agricultural implements. Also all the loose gear about the
place
My uncleared land is to be equally divided into two parts between
my two sons Robert and Jacob. My wife Jane is to live with my son Robert and receive her support off of the property as long as she remains
in my name but if she should leave the place she is not to come on
the place again. And if she should leave the place she is not to take
anything out of the house only what is her own. My daughter Susan is
to live with my son Robert and go in and out of the house until she
has a home of her own. And I do hereby revoke and disannul all and
every other former Testaments, wills and Bequests by me anywise before
named, willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this, and no
other, to be my last will and Testament &c. sgd. Abram
his x mark Dawe signed and delivered in the presence of us
who in his presence and in the presence of each other (having been
first read over) have subscribed our names as witnesses sgd. Abram
LeDrew Francis F. Furneaux commissioner of Supreme Court.
