      Michael Davis          deceased.

In the name of God Amen     This is the last will and Testament of me Michael Davis of Fox Harbour Placentia Bay Newfoundland Planter    I appoint James Davis of Richard executor of this my last will and Testament. I will that my just debts be paid as soon as possible after my decease I will devise and bequeath my money as follows

• To my house Keeper Ellen Walsh I will devise and bequeath the sum of Two Thousand Dollars
• To my nephew James Davis of Richard I will the sum of Two Thousand Dollars which amount includes the one Thousand he now has on loan
• To my nephew Richard Davis of Richard I will the sum of one Thousand Dollars
• To my nephew John Davis of James I will the sum of one Thousand Dollars
• To my nephew Patrick Davis of Philip I will the sum of one Thousand Dollars
• To Andrew and James Foley of Michael I will the sum of Five Hundred Dollars each
• I will devise and bequeath the sum of two Thousand Dollars for Masses (two thousand) for the repose of the souls of myself wife and family relatives
• I will devise and bequeath my dwelling house and all furniture in it, also all land and sheep to my house Keeper Ellen Walsh for her use during life and at her death I will devise and bequeath the said property to my nephew James Davis of Richard
• The money for Masses for myself and relatives is be distributed by my executor.

      In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand by making my mark at Fox Harbor Placentia Bay this 20^th day of November A.D. one Thousand nine hundred and seven The whole first read over and explained Michael his X mark Davis Signed by the Testator and acknowledged by him to be his last will and Testament who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other we have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses    The whole first read over and explained witnesses Richard Davis John Stephens Wm F O Reilly
