In re
Edward H. Davey deceased.
This is the last will and Testament
of me Edward H. Davey of St. John’s in the Island
of Newfoundland Builder
First I give and bequeath unto my nephew and
niece Charley and Bessie Davey children of my deceased Brother Charlie the sum of Twenty five hundred dollars each
Second I give and bequeath
to Edward Davey Wills and his sister Laura Wills the
sum of Five thousand five hundred dollars each
Third I give and devise
the sum of Six thousand dollars to be equally divided amongst the children
of Everet Wills (not including the two above named)
the sum of six thousand dollars this amount to be held by my Executor
and applied by him towards their Education and support in such manner
as he may deem fit and proper
I give and devise the sum of Two thousand
five hundred dollars towards the fund for the completion of the organ
of the Church of England Cathedral.
I
give and bequeath unto the Church of England orphanage the sum of Two
thousand five hundred dollars
All the rest residue and remainder
of my Estate and effects I give and bequeath unto my surviving brothers
to be equally divided between them
With regard to
the business now carried on between me and my brother George it is
my will and desire that my Executor shall give my brother George such
time as he may consider reasonable to realize my interest therein and
in the matter of such time my Executor shall be the sole judge my Executor
using his descretion as to the best mode of such realization I nominate
and appoint James Augustus Clift of St. John’s
Solicitor to be the sole Executor of this my said will and in addition
to his compensation as such he shall be entitled to charge the usual
fees for his professional services
In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand at St. John’s this 8th day of March A.D. 1911 Edward

same time in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto
