In re
LUCY CURRIE deceased.
The last will and testament of me
Lucy Currie I Lucy Currie of Brittannia Smith
Sound Trinity Bay Newfoundland being in my right mind and of sound judgment
do hereby make my last will and testament.
I. To my granddaughter Lucy Currie (daughter of Charles
and Sarah Currie) I
give and bequeath my bed-bedstead one wool blanket one cotton blanket one quilt
and my looking glass.
II To my granddaughter
Lucy Currie daughter of Fenwick and Isabella Currie,
I give and bequeath my mattress, two blankets and one quilt.
III To my daughter in law Isabella Currie I give and bequeath my chest of drawers
provided that my son Fenwick and my daughter in law Isabella aforesaid
care for me untill my death. But should I die elsewhere
then my chest of drawers must go to the person who cares for me untill my death.
IV My Trunk I give and bequeath to my grand
daughter Nellie Currie daughter of Moses and Sadie
Currie. I also give and bequeath to Nellie
Currie aforesaid one of two small gold chains
which will be found in my bedroom when I die.
V. My pillows and one wool blanket and my toilet set I give and bequeath to
my grandson Peirce Currie son of Thomas and Emeline
Currie.
VI My bedroom chair and plaid shawl I give and bequeath to my daughter in law
Emeline wife of Thomas Currie.

My Silver Teapot I give and bequeath to my daughter Annie Ellen Pelley. My best Black Dress and waist I give and bequeath to my niece Edith
Ellis of
Georges Brook.
VIII To my niece Annie
Adams of Milton I give and bequeath one of the two gold chains
I leave in my trunk- To all of which I hereby
set my hand and seal. this 26th day of September 1914. Signed Lucy

Currie and
my daughter Annie Ellen Pelley I give and bequeath the amount of money standing
to my credit in the Bank of Montreal at St. John’s at the date of my
death share and share alike I hereby appoint my son
Thomas Currie my sole executor Signed this 26
