Will of Catherine Cummins from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 539 probate year 1891 Last will and Testament This is the last will and testament of me Catherine Cummins of Saint John's Newfoundland widow. First I will that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses be paid by my executors. Second I devise and bequeath the ten tenements in the lane leading from the east side of Kings Road to South West Street and the four tenements on the east side of Kings Road to my beloved children Alice Cummins and John Cummins to have and hold equally in equal shares of the fruits thereof and I forbid them from disposing of or in anywise encumbering the same and I will that Alice shall hold her share free from the control of her husband or any future husband Third I will that James Mary Edward and Ellen my children also be paid by my executor one shilling each. Fourth I will that all my household furniture and goods and property herein undisposed of go to my aforesaid son John whom I hereby appoint executor to this my last will and testament to carry the intentions expressed in the same. Catherine her x mark Cummins. Signed published and declared by the testatrix Catharine Cummins on this twenty sixth day of March A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty six in our presence who in her presence and in presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses the same having been first carefully read over and explained to her as her last will and testament Patrick Quinn I.
