      JOHN GIBSON COWAN.     DECEASED.

Will of John Gibson Cowan

I, John Gibson Cowan, of the District of St. John’s West in the Dominion of Newfoundland, being of sound mind, memory, and understanding, do make my last will and testament in manner and form following:-

First. I give and bequeath to my brother James H. Cowan all my property known as “Gibson’s Farm” on the North Side of Topsail Road in the District of St. John’s West, also all live stock and utensils on same.

Second. I give and provide for (Aunt Jessie) known as Jessie M. Pheeson a livelihood till her death, on the said Farm, also the sum of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) to be paid in monthly instalments to her, in cash, till her death.

Third. All debts owed by me to be paid by my brother James H. Cowan.

Fourth. I give to Edward Dingle the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00).

Fifth. I hereby appoint Harry J. Cowan executor of this my last will and testament.

In witness, whereof, I, John Gibson Cowan, the testator, have to this my last will and testament, set my hand, this Sixth day of May, A.D. 1926.

NOTE

I, John Gibson Cowan, do wish for my executor Harry J. Cowan to work with my brother James H. Cowan to see my debts are freely paid, and any other advice which he may give him to be taken in good faith.

I wish my brother James H. Cowan to despose of the Mare, Express, Bugy and Sleigh also any duplicate he may have to be sold to lessen the debts.
