In re
      JAMES COSTIGAN.     DECEASED.

I James Costigan, Fisherman of Hr Main in the Island of Newfoundland being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this as my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills and Testamentary dispositions heretofore at any time by me made.

      I hereby appoint Wm Costigan Executor of this Will.

It is my will and pleasure and I hereby appoint my son Vincent sole manager of affairs, and for the upkeep of my property after my decease, and to act as as guardian of my younger children during their minority. He is to act in capacity of father, and to govern the family, look after and take in custody their earnings, and keep same until they are twenty one years.

      My son Vincent is to be sole owner of my dwelling house and household effects, but shall support and look after the comfort of my younger children, until such time as they are able to earn for themselves. He is to give to kate her passage money any time she needs it.

      If my four sons remain on the homestead the land is to be equally divided between them but should any of them go and permanently settle elsewhere, they there and then forfeit all claim to said land, which then becomes the property of those who remain.

      The four brothers shall assist one another when either wishes to build a house and settle down on the property..

      My land consist of upland already occupied by me, my share of marshland and one third part of waterside premises east. my share one fourth of Labrador and fishing property is to continue under the management of Vincent.

      In witness whereof I hereto set my hand and seal this the twenty third day of December one thousand nine hundred and ten.
