Will of John Cornick from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 410-411 probate year 1929

In re     DECEASED.
    JOHN CORNICK.

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me JOHN CORNICK of St. John's in the island of Newfoundland, Moulder.
I revoke all former wills by me at any time made and declare this to be my last will and testament.
I appoint William J. Pike of St. John's Insurance agent and Charles Winsor of St. John's engineer the executors OF this my last will and testament.
I will and bequeath all my property goods monies and effects of whatsoever kind and wheresoever situate to my wife Jane Cornick for her sole use and benefit during her life time with power to my executors to sell and dispose of or otherwise deal with my said property goods monies and effects as to them shall seem best if in their opinion it is necessary and expedient so to do for the proper support and maintenance of my said wife during her lifetime.
Upon the death of my said wife all my property goods monies and effects remaining at her death become the property of my eldest daughter Louisa Winsor for her lifetime or until her re-marriage. In the event of the re-marriage of the said Louisa Winsor the property goods monies and effects then remaining of my estate shall be divided equally between my four children William Cornick, Thomas Cornick, Ada Chafe, and the said Louisa Winsor and in the event of the death of the said Louisa Winsor all the property goods monies and effects then remaining of my estate shall be divided equally between my children William Cornick, Thomas Cornick and Ada Chafe or the survivors of them.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand this 14th day of September Anno Domini one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two

SIGNED PUBLISHED AND DECLARED BY the said testator as and for his last will and testament who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our names attesting the due execution hereof.

Codicil to my will of September 14th 1922 made at St. John's this 22nd day of December 1928.
I hereby amend my said will by bequeathing to my daughter, Ada Chafe all my shares or bonds in Avalon telephone Company Limited for her sole and absolute use and benefit forever.
This bequest will not deprive the said Ada Chafe of her share of my estate under the terms of my said will.
Witness my hand at St. John's on the day and year above written.
