St. John's July 7th 1920.
This is my last will and testament. I appoint my wife Mary and Patrick J. Summers of St. John's Solicitor, executrix and executor of this my will. I leave my house and cooperage in Brazils Square and all other property I may die possessed of to my wife absolutely except that I desire my executors to spend ten dollars annually for ten years in masses for the repose of my soul and so long after that time as my said wife can reasonably afford to spend the said sum. I desire that she will have a similar number of masses celebrated for the same purpose.
