In re MARY CONNORS. DECEASED.
Carbonear March 24th, 1921 I Mary Connors of Carbonear Newfoundland being aware of the uncertainty of life and in failing health but of sound mind and memory do make and declare this to be my last will and testament in the manner following to wit I give devise and bequeath my my house and land and all that I persece for the consideration of minding me until death to the said Mrs. Ellen Keefe for her truble with me this is to be my last will and testament I also make Mrs. Ellen Keefe my sole exertere MARY CONNORS her mark X

|Note: The wills in those will books are NOT actual wills. They are hand-written copies of a, "last will and testament," written by the court clerk, after the death of the testator, when the executor presented them to the court for probate. The court clerk didn't list the signatures at the bottom, he (or she) just put them in the book in whatever order they were in, on the original document, no spacing most of the time, no punctuation. The originals were kept by the executor. |
