Will of John Collins
from Newfoundland will books volume 13 pages 581-582 probate year 1927

In re
      JOHN COLLINS.     DECEASED.

This is the last will and Testament of me John Collins of Catalina, Newfoundland in the County of    made this Nineteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty five.

I hereby revoke all Wills made by me at any time heretofore.

I appoint my daughters Ida Jane Collins and Annie Anna Belle Collins to be the joint Trustees of my Will and also to be my Executors, and direct that all my debts and funeral expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

I give and bequeath unto my daughters Ida Jane and Anna Belle Collins my dwelling house and its contents and land on which my house is erected, and my land with wharf and store on the South Side of the Main Road, also my land on the North Side of the main Road consisting of a garden and Stable I desire that my daughter Ida Jane Collins shall have the South-West half of my dwelling house and my daughter Anna Belle shall have the North-East half of the said house. I also desire and direct that my wife Harriet Collins shall be permitted to occupy my said house conjointly with my said daughters until her death, and my said wife shall have charge of my house till her death -
To my son Eli James Collins I give that piece of land on the North Side of the Main Road beginning at the corner of Cellar and running down to the Main Road also on the South Side of the Main Road running to the Old Rock Wharf at the waterside.
I give to my daughter Violet Harriet Spurrell, in trust for my Grandson Roland John Spurrell, the remainder of my land on the North Side of Road, opposite to the Shop of Ida Jane Collins, with well thereon, running back to Isaac Manuel’s land, I give and bequeath to my son John Henry Collins that piece of farm land beginning at the Gateway adjoining Garland Clouter’s land and running down to Brook, and on right of Slide Path to Road known as the Thorburn Road, also I give to my son Eli James Collins that piece of land he has fenced to extend out to Public Road to the Brook on left and to gateway on the right. All the remainder of my farm land, inside of Eli James Collins’s and outside of John Henry Collins’s portions I give to my daughters Anna Belle Collins and Ida Jane Collins

Signed by the said Testator John Collins in the presence of us, present at the same time, who at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as witnesses.
