Last Will and Testament of
James Collins of Catalina
Planter deceased.

      This is the last will and Testament of the undersigned James Collins of Catalina in the Electoral District of Trinity in the Island of Newfoundland. I James Collins being of sound mind do hereby will devise bequeath as follows namely:- all that piece or parcel of land and water side which I the said James Collins bought from John Brine of St. John's Newfoundland in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy two (1872) which deed was registered in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy three (1873) together with all the erections chattels and effects thereon comprising dwelling house store stage etc. half to my son James Collins at present living at New York U.S.A. and the remaining half to my granddaughters viz Ellen Jane Collins, Mary Maria Collins, and Lucy Collins at present living at New York U.S.A. share and share alike all the other property that I die possessed of I will devise bequeath as follows half to my son James Collins of New York U.S.A. one fourth to Ellen Jane Collins of New York U.S.A. one fourth to Eli Collins of Catalina and I do hereby constitute and appoint Robert Bursey Thos. Clonter of Henry, George Clonter of Henry and Patrick Murphy all of Catalina aforesaid as the Executors of this my last will and Testament and revoking all or any former distribution of my said property etc. And I do declare this to be my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Catalina aforesaid this thirteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety one (sgd) James Collins (LS) Signed & Sealed in the presence of the subscribing witnesses being first read over and explained (sgd) Isaac J. Mifflen. (Sgd) Patrick Murphy
