Will of John Collier Last Will and Testament of I John Collier of Rose Blanche in the Southern District of Burgeo & LaPoile Nfd. (fisherman) being of sound mind and understanding do declare this to be my last will and Testament. I hereby give and bequeath my sister Florence my new trunk to my sister Elizabeth one trunk and counterpane, to my brother Samuel one suit clothing and my bed to my brother Martin one suit clothing and my rubber coat to my father Samuel Collier one pair rubber boots to my brother Sandy my bedstead and the rest of my clothing to be shared as my mother may think fit. The sum of one hundred and forty dollars which I have in my trunk together with my Life Insurance with the Mutual Life Insurance Co of New York amounting to Two thousand dollars to be shared alike between my father Samuel Robert Collier my mother Hannah to my brothers Samuel, Martin, Sandy and Charles & my sisters Sarah Styles, Elizabeth and Florence and I do hereby appoint Richard Furneaux Justice of the Peace of Rose Blanche to my executor. (Sgd) John his x mark Collier. Made and subscribed at Rose Blanche this 19th of March A.D. one thousand nine hundred and one. In the presence of (sgd) James Rideout (sgd) Richard F. Mercer.
