Will of Richard Coady
from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 39-40 probate year 1927

In re
     RICHARD COADY.     DECEASED.

This is the last will and testament of Richard Coady General Dealer Lamaline in the District of Burin West Dominion of Newfoundland.

I hereby revoke all or any previous wills of testamentary dispositions and declare this to be my last will.

I appoint Rev Andrew T. Whelan Parish Priest of Lamaline Executor of this my last will.

I bequeath to my brother Joseph Coady of Lamaline my house and furniture, shop and fixtures together with my portion of land land around house and shop also my shop built on Geo Stephen Kings land my store situated N.E. of property owned by Frederick Hipditch at Lamaline, my title to stage now used by Isaac and Robt Bonnell as well as Store and wharf situated and built on land owned by John Coady Thomas Bonnell and Lawrence Coady.

I also bequeath to Joseph Coady my ten Marine Engines and parts and whatever right I have to Delco Light Plant

I bequeath to Joseph Coady one Codtrap with gear and Skiff.

I bequeath to Joseph Coady and family my title and interest in Codtrap, Skiff and gear used by Martin Lockyer of Pt au Gaul to Joseph Coady and all monies due account of this Codtrap, Skiff and gear is to be distributed to family by my executor.

I bequeath to Joseph Coady with a view to educating his children especially Mercedes subject to advice of my executor my two Codtraps, Skiff and gear previously used by Mr. H. King and Isaac Bonnell of Lamaline.

I bequeath to Joseph Coady and family all my monies due from the firm of S. Harris Ltd, Lamaline, Hickman & Co Ltd St. John's, from Mr. Raymond Winter and Mr. Wm Collins Burin as well as monies due from Life Insurance with The Manufacturers Life, said monies to be drawn by my executor and paid to above named beneficiaries after legal expenses are deducted therefrom.

I bequeath to Mary, Mercedes, Philomena and Margaret Coady my shares in the Western Marine Railway together with German Government Bonds held by me.

In proof hereof I now set my hand and declare this my last will signed on this Thirtieth day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred and twenty six at Lamaline in the District of Burin West in the Dominion of Newfoundland.
