Will of Ezra Churchill Last Will and Testament of This is the last will and testament of me Ezra Churchill of Portugal Cove hereby revoking all former wills and testaments made by me. First I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah, the dwelling house land and premises situate at Portugal Cove. The land and premises situated at Protestant Town, my one third share of the fishing room situate at Portugal Cove, aforesaid and all my household furniture, goods chattels and effects contained in and upon the aforesaid pieces or parcels of land and also the business now or heretofore carried on by me with the stock in trade goods chattels and effects thereto belonging for and during her natural life or until she remarries subject nevertheless to the support and maintenance of my two daughters Jessie and Mabel whilst they remain unmarried and reside with my said wife upon the premises and to the support and maintenance of my two sons Walter and George whilst they remain upon the premises. Second upon the death or remarriage of my said wife, I will and direct that the said lands and premises household furniture business goods chattels and effects become the property of my said son George absolutely and forever subject to the support of my said daughters Jessie and Mabel whilst they remain unmarried and reside upon the premises as aforesaid and my said son Walter whilst he remains upon the premises. Third, I give and bequeath to my daughters, Matilda, Amelia, Tryphena, Annie and Lydia the sum of one hundred dollars each. Fourth I give and bequeath to my said wife all the rest and residue and remainder of the property of which I may die possessed of every nature and kind whatsoever. Fifth I appoint my said wife Sarah Churchill sole executrix hereto. Browning (Listed in the margin next to this will the following) NOTE: Ezra Churchill b. 1825, lst wife an "Unknown" Picco, 2nd wife Sarah Ann Gillett (nee Moulton b. 1845 in Pouch Cove, widow of James Gillett of Exploits). James and Sarah married in Nov. 1865 and the marriage of Ezra and Sarah occurred circa 1870.
