Will of Samuel Chaytor from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 504 probate year 1929

In re     DECEASED.
SAMUEL CHAYTOR.

This is the last will and testament of me Samuel Chaytor, fisherman of Chamberlains in the electoral district of Harbour.
I give and devise to my two grandsons Ronald Hector and Samuel James sons of my son William Chaytor the piece of land now occupied by my said son William Chaytor, which extends from the main Road to the North West boundary of my son James Chaytor Land, on the south it is bounded by Winsors land, and on the east by my own fence to the South West of my dwelling house and extending in a straight line to the S.E. boundary. The said piece of land is neither to be sold nor mortgaged; but is to remain the property of my said grandsons - Ronald Hector Chaytor, and Samuel James Chaytor their heirs and successors for all time.

The twenty four acre piece of land that I own situated between Edward Hiscocks land and Jacob Mercers land, I give and devise to my three sons William, George and James to be equally divided between them, giving William the end bordering on Fowlers Road, James the central part and George the end bordering on James and Williams Hiscocks land.

My dwelling house and all the remainder of my real & personal estate even to my wearing apparel are to be sold by auction. The remainder of the few dollars that I may die possessed of, after my funeral expenses are defrayed, is to be added to the proceeds of the sale of my belongings before mentioned, and the whole amount to be equally divided between my eight living children Viz: Maria Makinson, Elizabeth Jane Brushet, Harriet Evelly, Julia Hamlyn, William Chaytor, George Chaytor, James Chaytor, and Ada Chaytor, and I appoint the Reverend Arthur Pittman executor of this my will, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this sixth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty seven.
