      This is the last will and testament of George Ephraim Charlton of Hearts Content Newfoundland-    After payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses I give, devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature and quality soever unto my beloved wife Abbie Charlton     In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at Hearts Content aforesaid this first day of February Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and eighty four (1884)    G.E. Charlton.     Signed and acknowledged by the said George Ephraim Charlton the testator, of his last will and testament in the presence of us, being present at the same time who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses Chas. Trippe J.T. Collins.
