Know all men by these presents that I John Walsh of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland, fisherman, for and in satisfaction of the sum of fifty four pounds, five shillings, and eight pence sterling money of Great Britain by me due and owing unto Thomas Beck of Saint John's aforesaid Shopkeeper for amount of Protested bills charges and goods and merchandised had received, and for in consideration of the sum of ten shillings to me in hand paid at and before the sealing and executing of these presents the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge save for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, granted bargained, sold, assigned and set over unto the said Thomas Beck, his executors, administrators and assigns as well this present instrument and the annexed indenture and memorandum as also the buildings, lands, hereditaments and premises therein mentioned demised or granted and likewise all my estate right title interest, claim, property and demand of in or to the same either by force virtue or means of the instrument of writing hereunto annexed or otherwise howsoever and to receive and take the ??? and profits now due and which shall or may hereafter arrive therefrom Received the day and year within written of the within named Thomas Beck the sum of ten shillings being the consideration money within mentioned to be paid to me.
