Volume 17, page 119, 1810 Bill of Sale Maria Ferrers Donogan to Richard Knowls A Bill of Sale. Know all persons whom it may concern That I Maria Ferrers Donogan of Carbonear, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Pounds Stg good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid yearly and every year at the rate of Two pounds stg for the term of five years. I the said Maria Ferrers Donogan do hereby acknowledge have bargained, sold & Delivered, and by these presents according to the due form of law do bargain sell & deliver unto Richard Knowls, taylor of the aforesaid Harbour that plot of ground situate at the North Side of Carbonear commonly known by the name of Frances Ferrers's Meadow, and measuring one hundred and twenty five yards long, ninety seven yards wide, to have and to hold the said bargained premised unto the said Richard Knowls his heirs Executors administrators and Assigns for ever. And I the said Maria Ferrers Donogan for myself my heirs, Executors, administrators the said bargained premises unto the said Richard Knowls his heirs Executors administrators & assigns against all person or persons shall and will warrant and defend by those present.
