Dennis Conners, Michael Ronan
& Edmond Dalton



V. 14, P. 002

An article of agreement made concluded and agreed upon between Dennis Conners, Michael Ronan and Edmond Dalton three of Cat's Cove, Conception Bay, Newfoundland.
Witnesseth that the said Conners with the said Ronan they their Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns do sell, bargain and make over a Room lately occupied by said Conners formerly held in possession by said Ronan which room as aforesaid they do now sell, bargain and make over unto the said Dalton, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns form the 10th of October next ensuring forever which room he is quietly and peaceably to enjoy for which room he pays Conners 4 and Ronan ten shillings the said covenants and agreements either of the said parties bindeth himself unto the other firmly by these presents whereunto they have inalterchangeably put their hands & seals hereunto this first day of January 1798.

The foregoing is a true copy of the original bill of sale exhibited by Edmond Dalton and at his request registered in this Book of Records. Hr. Grace 19th June 1798

It is decreed that the said room shall extend Northways 210 paces in length or farther if thought proper by the said Dalton that the breadth in order to bring it in a straight line shall be 60 paces and that the garden cleared by Thomas Mahoney which lies inside the bounds of the said room he is to occupy only while he continues to till it or till he may have the value of his labour therefore.
