Brine - Hickey

 

 

V. 17, P. 311

Know all Men by these presents that I Peter and Catherine Brine of Colliers in the island of Newfoundland, planter, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds lawful money of Great Britain to me in hand paid at or before the consenting and delivery of these presents by Michael Hickey of Chapel's Cove in the Island aforesaid, planter will and truly paid the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledge myself to be therewith fully satisfied have granted, bargained, sold, assigned and set over and by these presents do truly, freely & absolutely grant, bargain, sell, assign and deliver unto the said Michael Hickey, his Executors, Administrators & Assigns all my Rooms Plantations lying and situate at Chapel's Cove bounded on the NE by Edmund Mackey. Boundaries on the southwest by Philip Phealens fence or where a barking kettle formerly stood on the South by the green woods and on the North by the sea.

To Have and to Hold are other the above bargained premises unto the said Michael Hickey, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns to and for his own use and uses this our property, Goods, and Chattels from henceforth forever & he the said Peter & Catherine Bryan do hereby for themselves their Executors and Administrators currant promise and agreed to and with the said Michael Hickey, his Heirs, Executors and Administrators and Assigns in manner following that is today that at the time of the Ensealing and delivery hereof have in himself good right and power and lawful authority to grant, bargain, sell, assign and set over the said hereby bargained premises unto the said Michael Hickey, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns in manner and form aforesaid. And the said hereby bargained premises etc. etc., every part thereof now are, and so from henceforth forever shall be remain and contained unto the said Michael Hickey, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns free, and clear, and fully and clearly acquitted & discharged of and from all former Bargains, Sales, Gifts, Grants, Titles, Debts, Charges and Incumbrances whatsoever.

In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the ninth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen.
