Will of Patrick Cassidy from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 467-468 probate year 1890 Last will and Testament I, Patrick Cassidy of St. John's, Newfoundland, Tailor, do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament; and my worldly estate where with it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I give, devise, and dispose of the same in the following manner and form: - First I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Ann Cassidy my farm of land called Ballanamoney, situated inside Waterford Bridge and by Blockmakers Hall; also my brick house situated in Water Street, shop, stock and trade, furniture, bed and bedding, and all outstanding debts, my lawful debts to be paid out of it. Also, I give and bequeath to my son James Cassidy, twenty five acres of land, situated on Topsail Road and adjoining Major Jenkins estate, my gold watch, sewing machine, his own bed and bedding, and ????? room. I do hereby make, ratify and confirm this to be my will and testament. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 23rd day of September 1874. Patrick Cassidy (L.S.) Signed sealed pronounced and declared by the said Patrick Cassidy as his last will and testament, in the presence of us who in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses George Skeffington Henry Brister Lyon. Registrar.
