Will of James Carroll Last will and Testament of In the name of God Amen I James
Carroll of St. John’s Newfoundland being ill in health but of sound
mind and therefore do make this my last will and Testament in the order
following that is to say. I give devise and bequeath unto my two Grandsons
Richard Ennis and James Ennis my farm situate between Freshwater and
Pennywell Roads about sixteen acres more or less together with all my
real personal estate to which I may be entitled to at the time of my
decease. The said Richard Ennis and James Ennis to give full charge to
my widow Jane Carrol until her death and the said Richard
Ennis and James
Ennis to hold the same as assigns forever and I constitute and appoint
David Whelan and John Jenkinson Jr of Freshwater Road St. John’s
Newfoundland to be Executors of this my last will and testament hereby
breaking all former wills by me at any time made. I certify the foregoing to be a correct copy of the last will and Testament of James Carroll deceased D. M. Browning (Listed in the margin next to this will the following)
