Will of Charles Henry Critch

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Charles Henry Critch, blacksmith residing at 428 Seventeenth Avenue West South Vancouver British Columbia. I hereby revoke all former wills codicils and testamentary dispositions at any time heretofore made by me and declare this only to be my last will and testament. I hereby appoint my brother George Critch and Frederick McBride Executors of this my last will I give devise and bequeath my house and property known as number 428 Seventeenth Avenue West South Vancouver to my said executors upon trust to pay the income arising therefrom to my two children Lloyd Henry Critch and Vera Ellen Critch until my said child Vera Ellen Critch shall attain the age of twenty one years or marry or whichever shall happen first, and in case she shall die before either of those events then until my said son Lloyd Henry Critch shall attain the age of twenty one years or marries whichever happens first and thereupon to see the said property and to divide the proceeds thereof equally between my said two children if they both shall be living but in case either of them shall have died then to the survivor and in case the two children shall neither of them attain the age of twenty one years or marry then in that case to give the proceeds to my wife Lillian Critch and as to all the rest reside and remainder of my estate real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever situate I give the same to my dear wife Lillian Critch to and for her sole and only use forever. In witness whereof I Charles Henry Critch the Testator have to this my last will and Testament contained in this sheet of paper set my hand this 30th day of January one thousand nine hundred and nineteen. Signed in the presence of Alice Louise Critch and J Hope MacLeod RN Signed by the said testator as and for his last Will and testament, in the presence of us both present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

Transcriber's note: Charles Henry Critch, son of Henry, was born in Newfoundland 15 October, 1883. He married Lillian Fisher in Vancouver in 1908. Charles died 31 January, 1919 and is buried in the Critch family plot at Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver.
