I, George Butt, Senior, of the town of Hearts Content, in the district of Trinity, in the Island of Newfoundland, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make my last will and testament in manner and form following.
I bequeath all my household furniture, ready money, securities for money, goods and chattels, and all other parts of my real and personal estate and effects whatsoever, and wheresoever, unto my wife Lucy Harriet Butt, to and for her absolute use and benefit, subject only to the payment of my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses, and the charge of proving and registering this my last will.
And I appoint my said wife executrix of this my will, and thereby revoke all other wills.
In witness whereof, I hereunto set my hand and seal, this 26^th day of April in the year one thousand nine hundred and twenty seven.
