Will of Elizabeth Burden
from Newfoundland will books volume 10 page 430 probate year 1916

In re
      ELIZABETH BURDEN          deceased.

      In the name of God, Amen.    I, Elizabeth Burden of Salvage Bay in the District of Bonavista, in the Island of Newfoundland, being of sound mind, do make this my last will and testament, revoking all previous wills made in my name, I believe in the Holy Catholic Church, and die a member of the Church of England.    When my just debts are paid and my funeral expenses settled, all other property which I possess at the time of my death; I will & bequeath to my daughter Clara Burden in consideration of her devotion to and loving care of me, during my life and especially in my declining years; namely Two dwelling houses with all furniture belonging to each, the one situated in Salvage Bay where I now reside, the other situated in Salvage; together with all stores, barns outhouses &c. appertaining to both, as well as all land, either at Salvage, or Salvage Bay, namely the land at Salvage Bay recorded on the Government Grant consisting of 107 acres more or less together with all cleared & uncleared land belonging to the estate, and at Salvage, two gardens situate near to the dwelling house all and everything belonging to my estate I unreservedly will and bequeath to the aforenamed Clara Burden my daughter I also will & bequeath to my daughter Clara Burden all monies which I possess at the time of my decease namely the amount in the Bank of Montreal deposited in my name, together with all monies on deposit, or account in any other bank which may belong to me,    Elizabeth Burden.     Signed by the testator, in our presence, who in the presence of the said testator and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses Joseph Squires Henry T. Legge Witnesses    Salvage Bay 25th November 1914.
