Will of George Abraham Buffett from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 495-496 probate year 1929

In re     DECEASED.
GEORGE ABRAHAM BUFFETT.

I, George Abraham Buffett of the town of Grand Bank in the district of Burin and colony of Newfoundland, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do therefore made and declare this to be my last will and testament that is to say:
First. I bequeath to my son Claude.
(a) That portion of land situate on the Corner of Church and Hickman Streets (the homestead of my late father) subject to the condition that the property shall not be sold outside the Buffett family.
(b) That portion of land situate on Hickman Street and known as the "March Meadow".
( c) One third of that portion of land situate on Fortune Road and extending from Fortune Road to Hickman Road, and known as the "Farm".
Second. I give to my daughter Maria.
(a) My dwelling house with land and garden adjoining and outhouses (not including the barn and ice house with all their contents nor the Barnyard) including piano, organ and all other contents, subject to the condition that if she dies childless the property described under this section shall then belong to my eldest male descendant.
(b) one third of that portion of land called the "Farm" as described above.
( c) That portion of land situate on the Fortune Road and adjoining land now occupied by Jessie Forsey.
(d) one of my pews in the United Church.
(e) Eighty (80) shares of my stock in the "Standard Manufacturing Company Limited".
(f) Five (5) shares of my stock in the "Colonial Cordage Company Limited"
(g) The sum of three thousand (3000) dollars.
Third. I give to my niece Euphemia Buffett.
(a) The sum of one thousand dollars.
(b) The privilege of a home in my dwelling house during her life. The Bedroom she now occupies with bed and furnishings and furniture is to be under her personal control.
Fourth. I give to my grandson Wilfred Marcus Buffett my gold watch and chain (not including pendant).
Fifth. I give to the Methodist Board of Education of Grand Bank the dividends accruing from ten (10) shares of my stock in the "Colonial Cordage Company Limited" for a period of ten years only (not exceeding one hundred dollars per year) The excess of the dividends of these ten shares over one hundred dollars per year (if any) shall be appropriated (with the advice of the Resident United Church Minister) to Sunday School literatures or a more deserving Sunday School Fund. At the expiration of the said ten years these ten shares of the "Colonial Cordage Company Limited" shall be equally divided among my grand children without exception at home and abroad.
Sixth. The residue of my property real and personal (including lands, beaches, buildings, fish stores, vessels, merchandise stocks, shares in joint stock companies, monies in Banks, and elsewhere and all my property whether enumerated in this document or not, which are not heretofore disposed of) I give and bequeath to my son Aaron.
Seventh, I hereby appoint my son Aaron and my nephew William Forsey to be the executors and my daughter to be my executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking any former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty nine.
