Will of Thomas Brien from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 454 probate year 1890 Last will and Testament In the name of God. Amen. This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Brien at present of Saint John's Master Mariner I will and bequeath unto my daughter Hanorah all my property of every description house land, furniture money and all that I may die possessed of. And I appoint her my executrix Dated at Saint John's Newfoundland this 22nd day of May A.D. 1884. Thomas Brien Signed published and declared in the presence of us who in the presence of the testator and of each other subscribed the same as witnesses D.J. Greene P. J. Summers.
