Will of Michael Brennan
from Newfoundland will books volume 9 pages 289-290 probate year 1911

In re
      Michael Brennan          deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me, Michael Brennan, at present of Kilbride in the Island of Newfoundland, made this second day of February A.D. 1909.
1. I appoint my son James Brennan of Water Street West, St. John’s Boot & Shoe maker executor of this my last will and testament.
2. I give devise and bequeath unto my said son James Brennan all the property of every description whatsoever of which I shall die possessed, consisting of the farm upon which I now reside, also the farm on the other side of the land purchased by me at one time from J. T. Neville, together with the buildings on the said farm and all the farming utensils, stock, furniture, &c &c To Have and To Hold the said farms house, stock, farming utensils, furniture, &c &c. unto my said son James Brennan, for his sole use and benefit for ever: Provided always that this bequest is on the condition that during the infancy of the three children of my son Stephen Brennan, now residing with me, that my said son James Brennan shall support, educate and maintain them until they shall reach the age of twenty-one years. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John’s the day and year first above written    Michael x Brennan Signed by the said testator by affixing his mark as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who, in his presence at his request, and in the presence of each other, have hereunto our names subscribed as witnesses, the same having been first read over and explained to the said testator the words “by affixing his mark having been first interlined     E.P. Morris    M.J Mulcaly.
