Will of Laura Annie Bowring from Newfoundland will books volume 14 pages 383-384 probate year 1928 In re DECEASED. I, LAURA ANNIE BOWRING of Chislehurst Softon Park
near the CITY of Liverpool widow, HEREBY REVOKE all testamentary
dispositions heretofore made by me and DECLARE this to
be my last will which I make this sixteenth day of November one thousand nine
hundred and twenty, I APPOINT my sons CHARLES WARREN BOWRING
and HAROLD BOWRING to be the executors of this my will I
BEQUEATH Free
of legacy duty to the Asylum for widows and orphans in St. John's Newfoundland
a Newfoundland Government Debenture Bond for one hundred pounds registered
in my name AND in the event of such debenture bond being
paid off in my lifetime Then in the alternative I BEQUEATH to
the said Asylum the sum of one hundred pounds sterling AND I DECLARE that
the receipt of the Treasurer or Secretary for the time being of the said Asylum
shall be a sufficient discharge for the said legacy AND I BEQUEATH free
of legacy duty to MARY MURPHY in acknowledgment of devoted service to myself
and children for very many years the sum of one hundred pounds Subject to the payment
of my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the legacies hereby or
by any codicil hereto bequeathed I GIVE all the residue
of my estate to and equally between my sons the said CHARLES WARREN
BOWRING and WILLIAM BOWRING and my daughter the said ETHEL
LAURA WILSON and my sons
the said HAROLD BOWRING ERIC AUBREY BOWRING and CYRIL BOWRING. AND
I DECLARE that if any one or more of my sons shall die in my lifetime
without leaving issue living at my death the share of the son so dying in my
residuary estate shall be divided equally between his brothers and sister AND
I HEREBY FURTHER DECLARE that the share in my residuary estate hereinbefore
bequeathed to my said daughter ETHEL LAURA WILSON not with standing that she
may predecease me without leaving issue living at my death and any further
share to which she may become entitled by reason of the death in my lifetime
without leaving issue living at my death of any of her brothers shall be paid
to the trustees of my said daughters said settlement to be held by them upon
the trusts in such settlement declared concerning the moneys thereby settled
