Will of William Richard Boone from Newfoundland will books volume 15 pages 33-34 probate year 1929

WILLIAM RICHARD BOONE

THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me WILLIAM RICHARD BOONE of Lewisporte in the colony of Newfoundland FARMER. Made this thirteenth day of May in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty six.

I APPOINT MY SONS Joseph William Boone of Grand Falls in the said Colony Grocery Clerk and Peter Boone of Botwood in the said Colony Railway Conductor to be my EXECUTORS and direct that all my debts and funeral expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease. I GIVE AND BEQUEATH UNTO MY WIFE, Phoebe Boone the sum of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS to be paid her at my death, also the bed and bedding now used by my self and her. In the event of her death before me the said sum of money and the said bed and bedding shall become part of my estate. I GIVE AND BEQUEATH UNTO MY SON CURTIS BOONE HALF THE DWELLING HOUSE at Lewisporte now occupied by me - ONE MOTOR BOAT AND FITTINGS, - ONE HORSE - ONE CARRIAGE - SEVEN SHEEP - ONE THIRD of all the land possessed by me and HALF THE MONEY possessed by me at time of my death.

I GIVE AND BEQUEATH UNTO MY SON Joseph William Boone HALF THE DWELLING HOUSE at Lewisporte now occupied by me - ONE THIRD of all the land possessed by me and ONE HALF THE BALANCE OF MONEY possessed by me at the time of my death after the portion allotted my wife and son Curtis is paid.

I GIVE AND BEQUEATH UNTO MY SON PETER BOONE, ONE THIRD OF ALL THE LAND possessed by me and ONE HALF THE BALANCE OF MONEY possessed by me at the time of my death after the portion allotted my wife and son Curtis is paid.

THE HOUSEHOLD FURNITURE AND EFFECTS in my possession at the time of my death shall be equally divided between my sons Curtis and Joseph William Boone. THE DIVISION OF THE LAND to be at the discretion of my said EXECUTORS who shall act in conformity with my wishes and do nothing to interfere with or obstruct the possession held by my son Curtis Boone.

Signed by the said testator William Richard Boone who made his mark thereto in the presence of us, present at the same time, who at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

CODICIL to Will of William Richard Boone made the 13th day of May A.D. 1926.

In the matter of my will dated the 13th day of May A.D. 1926 and signed by E. F. Fitzgerald L.S. and W. W. Bradley J.P. and more particularly my bequest to my son Joseph of - "one half the balance of money possessed by me at the time of my death, after the monies allotted my wife and son Curtis is paid" - also my bequest to my son Peter of - "one half the balance of money possessed by me at the time of my death, after the portion allotted my wife and son Curtis is paid by this instrument or codicil made by me this seventh day of January A.D. 1927. I do revoke the above recited bequest to my son Joseph, I do also revoke the above recited bequest to my son Peter, and further by this codicil I hereby bequeath all the money that I possess at the time of my death to my son Curtis except the one hundred dollars bequeathed to my wife in my Will dated the thirteenth day of May A.D. 1926
