pounds each it is my will that where in my will I have left bequests stating them to be fortieths or eightieths of my property I meant of my asset property and that it was not my intention that the bequests or legacies made of landed property should be at all interfered with it is my will that in case there should not be sufficient assets to meet the several legacies I have left that the legacies should be appropriated in accordance with the assets and should there be an excess of assets over the legacies then it is my will that such assets should be proportionately divided amongst the parties to whom I have left legacies that is to say in proportion to the amount left to each I will and direct that in the event of my wife Adelaide M Blake surviving me that at her death out of the moneys and other property which I have left her the life use of there should be paid to John Cashel Hoey and Charles Ambrose two of my executors the sum of five hundred pounds each this amount to be independent of the other sums that I have already bequeathed to them as my desire is that they should each have under any circumstances a sum at least one thousand pounds each as a mark of my friendship for them and my appreciation of the kind services they have from time to time rendered to me I do not name my wife as one of my executors in as much as that I leave is dependant on her not surviving me but in all things where it is practicable it is my desire that my executors should consult her and as far as they deem practicable and consistent with my intentions to give effect to her wishes as I am much to her affection and fidelity and desire to record my very deep obligation to her for the sacrifices she has made for me and the solicitude she has exhibited for my temporal and spiritual welfare I believe no woman could possess higher qualities as regards kindness of disposition and unselfishness and deep religious feeling and I commend her most earnestly to the care of my executors.
