In re
Cornelius Biggin deceased.
I Cornelius Biggin, fisherman,
of Daniels Harbour, Newfoundland, hereby make my last will and Testament,
revoking and annulling all former dispositions of my property. I give and
bequeath of the money in the Bank of Montreal, St. John’s two thirds
of the whole to my brother Charles, and one third of the whole to my nephew
Abner
I give and bequeath of my half share of the money
in the Dominion Savings Bank of Canada to my sisters, Martha Keziah and
Mary fifty dollars each, and to my sister Hannah eighty dollars, and the
remainder of my half share to my brother Charles
I give
and bequeath of the money in the house and store to my sisters Martha,
Mary and Keziah ten dollars each and to my sister Hannah thirty dollars
and the remainder to my brother Charles.
I give and bequeath my summer and winter
houses to my nephew James and I here charge him to remember that if my
clergyman visits this settlement that he is stay here as he has been accustomed
to I give and bequeath my stove to my nephew James. I give and bequeath
my winter house garden to my brother Charles. I give and bequeath the garden at the rear of the summer house to my sister
Hannah
I give and bequeath my share of traps; nets lines,
Boats and stores to my brother Charles and to my nephews Abner and James. I
give and bequeath I give and bequeath my cattle to my brother Charles.
I give and bequeath my small bed to Elizabeth daughter of Mary
Joseph Trenchard I give and bequeath my big bed to Ada daughter of my nephew Abner. I give
and bequeath my crockery ware to my sister Hannah and to my sister-in-law
Ann in equal shares.
I give and bequeath to Elizabeth daughter of Mary
Trenchard my new trunk. I give and bequeath my new clock
to my nephew James and the small clock to my sister Hannah.
I hereby appoint the Rev Charles W Hollands as my Executor
and administrator of this my property - Cornelius his X mark Biggin Witnessed
in our presence and read before the said Cornelius Biggin in
our present at Daniel’s Harbor
