(The spelling for this name is questionable in both the will and the will index. The surname may be Berkaw, Berleau, Berteau, or Berlaw. The Christian name may be Albert Le C, Albert Lec, Albert Lee C, or Albert Lee)

In re
Albert Lee Berteau deceased.
This is the last will and Testament of me Albert LeC Berteau of Saint John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Barrister at Law. I give and bequeath all my estate of whatsoever kind or nature unto my beloved wife for her sole separate and absolute use and behoof. I hereby revoke all wills at any time heretofore made and I appoint my wife Executrix of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name at St. John’s aforesaid this 30th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and five.
A. Le C. Berteau.
Signed and acknowledged by the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses.
