Will of Jonathan J. Benson
from Newfoundland will books volume 10 page 213 probate year 1914

In re
      JONATHAN J. BENSON.       deceased.

      This is the last will and testament of me Jonathan J. Benson of St. John’s in the Island of Newfoundland, Trader, hereby revoking all other and former wills by me at any time made.    After the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses I give devise bequeath to my wife Martha Louisa the dwelling house in which I now reside together with the furniture goods effects linen and plate of every kind during her life and upon her death then to my two sons Arthur and Reuben in equal shares    I give and bequeath to my said two sons Arthur and Reuben in equal shares whatever money there may be to my credit in the Royal Bank of Canada    I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Jimima wife of Benjamin Doyles the land and house at Shoal Arm Little Bay.     I appoint my said son Arthur Executor of this my will.     St. John’s Dec. 23: 1913. J.J. Benson.     Signed by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses (the words “by the” having been first inserted 31st line)     M.P. Gibbs.    C.E. Blackmore.
