Will of William Barton from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 370 probate year 1928 In re DECEASED. This is the last will and testament of me, William Barton of the Bay Bulls Road Fisherman and I revoke all former wills by me made. I hereby appoint my son Vincent executor of this my will. I give and bequeath my land and house fishing gear engine and boat at Petty Harbour to my sons James and Patrick equally as tenants in common and if one of them be dead at the time of my death then the survivor takes all the said property. I give and bequeath my farm consisting of about eleven acres situate on the south side of said Bay Bulls road with all the erections thereon and all the contents contained in said erections to my wife for her sole use and benefit during her life and after her death to my said son Vincent absolutely and forever. And if Vincent should predecease my said wife then she shall take the said property absolutely and forever. I give the residue of my estate to my said wife absolutely and forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand by making mark to this my last will this 4th October 1928
Signed by the testator as and for his last will in our presence who in his
presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names
as witnesses the foregoing been first read over and explained to the testator
