Will of William J. Bartlett from Newfoundland will books volume 15 page 535 probate year 1931

IN RE                    DECEASED.
William J. Bartlett

I William J. Bartlett of Brigus, Master Mariner do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other and former wills by me at any time made. After payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses, I give devise and bequeath as follows;

  1. To my beloved wife Mary J. Bartlett, all insurance effected upon my life.
  2. To my said wife Mary J. Bartlett during her life the farm land of Patrick Lamb; also the store and waterside premises at the runnel near the public wharf Brigus; also the meadow adjoining the Methodist Cemetry; Also my interest in the fishing property situate at turnavic Labrador. Upon the death of my said wife, the said several lands and premises set forth in this paragraph shall become the property of my son, William L. Bartlett.
  3. I give devise and bequeath the residue of my said estate to my said wife, Mary J. Bartlett.
  4. I appoint my sons, Robert A. Bartlett and William L. Bartlett executors of this my will.

Dated at Brigus this 28th day of January 1919.
