Will of George Barbour from Newfoundland will books volume 14 page 378 probate
year 1928
In re DECEASED.
George Barbour.
This is the last will and testament of me George Barbour of Trinity Newfoundland. I
appoint Stanley George Barbour of Trinity T.B. to be my executor. I
give devise and bequeath unto my wife Lucretia Jane Barbour all monies deposited
in the banks in Trinity and St. John's in my name also monies due me as follows:- One
thousand dollars in Jobs sealing steamers. One thousand two hundred
dollars in Mr. Peter Cowan St. John's, one hundred and twenty dollars in Mr.
John Davis schoolmaster Harbour Grace, one thousand four hundred dollars due
from Mr. Willie Barbour & Bros Newtown. Also one hundred and twenty shares
in St. Georges Coalfield also house property situated in Merry Meeting Road
St. John's two freehold houses also my dwelling house situated in Trinity with
land attached and meadow to northeast and stable also seven hundred dollars
invested in Saw Mill Trinity Fair Island, also the Schooner "LADY
GREEN" All
the foregoing to my wife to enjoy during her lifetime in the event of her death
all to be divided equally between my two sons Stanley George Barbour and Percival
Gordon Barbour. I bequeath all stores traps gears and boats belonging
to me, to be divided equally between Stanley George Barbour and Percival
Gordon Barbour my sons I also bequeath to Miss Lucy Curtis the sum of fifty
dollars, providing she remains with my wife after my death. In witness
whereof I the said George Barbour have to this my last will and testament set
my name this thirteenth day of June in the year of our lord one thousand nine
hundred and twenty eight.

SIGNED by the testator in the presence of us
present at the same time, who at his request, in his presence and in the presence
of each other, have subscribed our names as witnesses.
