Will of John Ashley from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 456 probate year 1889 Last will and Testament Last will and Testament of me, John Ashley of Saint John's in the island of Newfoundland cooper First I hereby revoke annul and utterly disallow all former and other wills by me at any time made and declare this to be my last will and Testament Second I hereby appoint John Angel of Saint John's Manager of Iron Foundry and my son Daniel Ashley executors of this my will. Third. I hereby give devise and bequeath all my lands monies property estate and effects of every description of which I shall die possessed to my said son Daniel Ashley for ever. Witness my hand at Saint John's this twenty fifth day of July Anno Domini 1889. John his x mark Ashley Signed published and declared the said testator as and for his last will and testament in our presence who in his presence and the presence of each other all present at the same time have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses (having first been read over and explained) Registrar
