Will of John Allen from Newfoundland will books volume 5 page 202 probate year 1888
This will is also recorded on page 271 in this volume. The wills are similar, with only a few minor differences, and the comments of the registrar.

Last will and Testament of John Allen
late of Bay of Islands Planter.

This is the last will and testament of me John Allen of Ballanlynes Cove Bay of Islands I bequeath all my property that is to say my share in the two dwelling houses in this cove with the land attached to them stores barns gear also my share in the Schooner "Annie Allen" with boats fashing gear tackle etc also my share in the dwelling house at Pleasure Harbour Labrador with the stores boats fishing gear etc attached thereto also my share in the horse to be equally divided between my two sons Robert and James - John his x mark Allen - (LS) Signed by the said John Allen this twenty second day of February 1886 in our presence - Emily W. Curling wife of the Revd J. J. Curling Joseph Bagg son of W. H. Bagg.
I certify that the foregoing is a correct copy.
