Will and Testament of James Allen

28-4-94

I, James Allen on the twenty eight day of April eighteen hundred and ninety four, do hereby devise and bequeath to my family in the following order, the land and property now belonging to the said James Allen, not to be altered or revised without the consent and signature of the aforesaid James Allen.
I hereby declare that the land now belonging to the said James Allen shall after his decease be equally divided between his five sons, viz, Henry John, William Perry, Samuel, George and Richard Allen or their heirs and the remaining property to be equally divided, or used, for the benefit of the whole family. And the bed and bedding to be given to Richard after his mothers (Elizabeth Allen) decease.
And that his wife Elizabeth Allen receive from the property and land enough for her maintenance, until she becomes again married, and then the said Elizabeth Allen's claim becomes invalid. Should any of the daughters of the aforesaid James Allen be compelled by sickness or any just cause to need a home or shelter, that the above mentioned sons shall attend to their wants as long as they are unable to gain an honest living.
I hereby declare this to be my Last Will and Testament.
