IN RE DECEASED.

St. John's Newfoundland
August 26th 1930
This is the last will and testament of me Helen Ardise Adrian of St. John's Nfld. Spinster.
I desire that all my just debts funeral and other expenses be paid as soon after my decease as may be convenient.
I desire that my estate be distributed as follows;-
Everything I own I give to my father for his lifetime if he should outlive me.
Should I outlive him, on my decease I desire that my estate shall be distributed as follows:-
To my sister Mrs. Reuban Francis Horwood the leasehold property and premises thereon No. 165 Water Street, St. John's Nfld. said property bounded on the north by Water Street on the west by land of Thomas estate on the south by land of Carwithan's estate, on the east by land of Carwithan estate leased to Albert Martin and Wm. J. Martin for her lifetime.
On her decease I direct that the property be sold and the proceeds be divided equally between my sister's three children, Jean Adrian Horwood, James Frances Horwood, and Robert Frederick Horwood, or the property be rented and the income divided equally between Jean, James and Robert which ever arrangement best suits their interests.
To my niece Jean Adrian Horwood I also leave fifteen shares in the Newfoundland Marine Insurance Co. Ltd. and my diamond ring.
To my nephew James Frances Horwood I also leave one hundred shares No. 3895 in Old Colony Mines Ltd.
To my nephew Robert Frederick Horwood I also leave five shares in the Dominion Atlantic Insurance Co. Ltd. St. John's Nfld.
To Marion Emma Horwood I leave the sum of one hundred dollars.
To my brother Robert Wilson Adrian I leave one one thousand dollar bond Canadian Northern Railway 4½% No. N. 50913 due July 1st 1937.
Also one five hundred dollar Newfoundland Government 5 % Bond No. N. 3642 Due Dec 31st 1963.
I direct that Two Hundred Dollars be invested in the Government Savings Bank the yearly interest of which shall be used for the keeping in order of the two plots in the Cemetery also that a fitting amount shall be put towards the purchase of a monument to mark the site of my mothers and father's graves.
The remainder of my moy money if any in the Canadian Bank of Commerce and the Newfoundland Saving Bank to be divided equally between my sister and her three children.
I hereby appoint my sister Emma Gertrude Ashton Horwood and her husband Reuban Frances Horwood executors. Written and signed by me in my own hand-writing this twenty sixth day of August nineteen hundred and thirty.
